Bookshelf at Holy Redeemer
On our bookshelf at the moment is Lee Strobel's 'The Case for Christ'.

Strobel is an award-winning journalist at the Chicago Tribune and his book is a gripping attempt to answer the question ‘Is there credible evidence that Jesus of Nazareth really is the Son of God?’

Retracing his own spiritual journey from atheism to faith, Strobel interviews eminent experts and asks the questions, as one reviewer puts it, ‘…a tough-minded sceptic would ask. Every inquirer should read it ‘.

It’s not a book merely for ‘inquirers’; it’s a fascinating read for those of us who are convinced Christians, but maybe have never really given thought to what we do in fact believe, and the reliability of the evidence for our faith.

It could well help in ‘being ready to make your defence to anyone who demands from you an account of the hope that is in you’ – 1 Peter 3: 15/16
